Coventry Foodbank Collection at Tesco, Richoh Arena, on Saturday 1st December - Richard Stroud, who came to talk to us, will be responsible for “masterminding” this collection and is looking for volunteers to help during the day which starts at 8.30am and finishes at 3.30pm. Any amount of time you can be available would be much appreciated. Volunteers will be fed and watered while they are there. Please let Sandra B (sandra.a.blackwell@gmail.com) know if you would like to be involved.

Bible Study/Prayer Group will be Monday 5th November, 7.00pm, at 2 Cornwall Road Please read 1 Samuel 8 to 10.     

Adult Confirmation - If you have signed up, there will be preparation sessions after church today. Confirmation Service is on 24th November.

Luncheon Club - The Luncheon Club meets on the 2nd & 4th Monday of the month. Communion upstairs at 11.30am is followed by lunch downstairs at 12.30pm. Please speak to Janice. Bring your friends!

We will be doing the Shoebox Appeal again this year.
Leaflets are available at the rear of the Church. Please return your Shoeboxes to Church by November 4th.
 
Tuesday Prayers - These are on hold at present. All ideas about how to grow together in our prayer life gratefully received.

Coventry Central Foodbank

As a Church Family we make a commitment every week that we will take our faith out into the community.  By helping Coventry Central Foodbank we can do just this by providing food for people in crisis.

Copies of this ‘Shopping List’ are available for you to take to the shops with suggested items, and there is a box to put your donations in at the back of the church.

• We thank God for the caring work of Myton Hospice. We pray for Stig Graham (who is the Chaplain) and for all the other staff and volunteers. Saturday is World Osteoporosis Day. We give thanks for the increased knowledge of this disease, and we pray for those affected by it.
• We pray for the Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches (DAC). St. Paul describes Luke as ‘the beloved physician’. We pray for all who are called to this dedicated work of healing others. We pray for all who are studying medicine at Warwick and other universities. We pray for their lecturers and teachers.

• Wednesday is World Mental Health Day. Depression affects people of all ages, in all communities, yet fewer than 10% of those who need treatment receive it. We pray for those in our parishes who are suffering with depression.
• For National Dyslexia Week. We thank God that many people are being diagnosed much earlier, and we pray for children, parents and teachers, that in partnership they can overcome the difficulties that present themselves.
