Notices
Coventry Night Shelter.…please be praying for this venture, for safety and strength for all involved in running it and for God to bless the guests who will be benefitting from it. Please
pray that God’s love is made known, and also that the guests are able to make real progress in getting off the streets permanently. There are also likely to be other overheads so any monetary donations would be welcomed if that is how you feel called to respond.
If you can possibly help,
the more volunteers we have, the less often each person needs to
volunteer. Please speak to Elke.Coventry Food Bank - most needed products are coffee, tins of fruit, nappies and baked beans please. They have plenty of pasta and cereals at the moment. Also plastic carrier bags
Charity Collections - Please remember to bring & put in drawers at rear of church:
• used stamps for the Leprosy Mission.
• ring pulls from cans for the Philippine Community Fund.
• The Coventry Foodbank contents are taken each week to the Hope Centre in Hillfields.
New Shopping Lists are available to help you
• Coins to put in our I Hate Coppers bottle as we support Canon Andrew White and the
Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East at St.George's Church,
Baghdad, Iraq.
• Individual collection boxes for The Children’s Society. Please see Janice
Please pray:
• For the peace of the whole world, for the welfare of the Holy Church of God, and for the unity of all.

• For blessing and protection for Clive, Ali and all the family.
• "God of history, Witness of the struggles within families; we pray for the divided family of
Syria as brother fights against brother, and sister rejects sister. We pray for those whose
love of neighbour has been destroyed in the bitterness of enmity. May fear be submerged
in compassion. Amen."
• We pray for those clergy who are leading and preaching in churches in the diocese today.
We give thanks for their service and care. We pray for those who are on holiday or taking
a break after the busyness of Christmas.

purpose and faith in the coming year.

Prayer for Today
Merciful Lord, cast your bright beams of light upon the Church: that, being enlightened by the teaching of your blessed apostle and evangelist Saint John, we may so walk in the light of your truth that we may at last attain to the light of everlasting life; through Jesus Christ your incarnate Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
