10am - Sunday 27th April - Easter 3
Readings: Acts 2;14a, 22-32 and John 20; 19-end

Please pray:
• For the peace of the whole world, for the welfare of the Holy Church of God, and for the unity of all.
• For the Global economies at this difficult time.
• For all those using our building • for God's blessing upon the church members and the local community.
• During Save the Children week we pray for children around the world who are subject to abuse and a lack of care. We thank God for Save the Children who run world-class programmes to save children’s lives and challenge world leaders to keep their promises to give children a brighter future.
• That congregations, preachers and service leaders would be free to continue to celebrate Easter in their worship gatherings today. We pray for anyone who feels lonely or on the edge of their church community and pray that God would help us to be more welcoming and caring towards others.

Pray for those in special need at this time and those recovering from illness:

Prayer for Today

The day of love’s triumph over sin and death. 
 “Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble: 
Were you there when he rose up from the tomb?” 
Let us rejoice! Let us give thanks! Christ is risen!
May that truth fire us with new hope, 
new confidence and new enthusiasm.

• Easter Day - He has risen - Jesus is alive! We pray for Easter celebrations in all parishes and communities this morning. We pray for those who will gather with Bishop Christopher at the cathedral for the dawn Eucharist and confirmation service. We pray for Bishop John as he preaches at a service to be broadcast live on Radio 4 from the Guild Chapel in Stratford.
• Monday - We thank God for the provision of bank holidays and for the break they offer to many people from the normal patterns of work and life. We pray for those who will work through this bank holiday and ask God to provide another time of rest for them during the coming week
• Thank God for the life he is bringing. Please pray that those who have made commitments to Christ will become true disciples and that those who are searching will find God. We pray that the Holy Spirit will build each of us up in his power to live for him each day.

at St Anne and All Saints, 6pm-8pm. 
 This will be an inclusive, family-friendly way to remember 
The Last Supper as we eat a meal together. 
18th April:  Good Friday Workshop (for under 14s)
10.30am -12.30pm
          All Age Good Friday Experience (led by the children)
12.30-1.30pm 
         The Final Hour: a very quiet, reflective time remembering  
   the events of Good Friday
2pm-3pm 
    20th April: Easter Sunday: All Age Communion with Baptisms: 10am.

• Maundy Thursday - As we remember Jesus' last supper, we pray that God would increase in us gifts of humility and hospitality, and help us to turn away from selfishness and pride. We pray for the licensed ministers and clergy who will gather at the cathedral today for the Chrism Eucharist and reaffirmation of ordination vows.
• Good Friday - "When I survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of Glory died; my richest gain I count but loss, and pour contempt on all my pride." As we remember Jesus' obedience, even to death on a cross, we ask God to meet us in our brokenness and need and to make us obedient to him.
• Easter Eve - We pray for all those who are waiting. We remember those who are expecting good news today, of a birth or a reason to celebrate. We pray too for those who are waiting for the unknown, for those facing their own death or the death of a loved one, and for those who will receive sad or difficult news today.

• the Riding Lights Theatre Company and all those who will attend their production of 'Inheritance' at Coventry Cathedral this evening. We pray that hearts and lives would be touched by God through this performance and interpretation of the passion narratives.
• for God's blessing upon Foodbanks, on those who give, and on those who receive, in the knowledge that it is sometimes harder to accept help than it is to give it.
