Alpha Course - We’ll be running this 10 week course again starting September 11th. There are three ways to get involved with this informal introduction to Christianity;
             1. Help with organising or catering
             2. Come along to all or part of it
             3. Invite a friend to come along.

Life Groups. We meet in small groups at various times through the week to help us to grow and to learn about God. Please speak to Clive to find out more or to explore which group might best suit you. The Wednesday afternoon Life Group will next meet on 11th September in church.

Cathedral Praise: Coventry Cathedral are keen to develop a partnership with us as a neighbouring church. We are all invited to join with them every Sunday evening at 6.30pm starting TODAY for Cathedral Praise. This is especially useful if you were busy serving during the morning service here.

MODULE 2 SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN TRAINING  - Tuesday 15th October 7.15pm – 9.30pm, St Anne & All Saints Church, Strathmore Avenue, Coventry CV1 2AN. Training for those who have completed the Basic Safeguarding Children training and are in a leadership role within the church, such as children’s and youth workers, parish safeguarding officers, church wardens and those who wish to look at safeguarding children in more depth. The training lasts for two hours and looks in particular at the issues of neglect and sexual abuse and the management of offenders in the church.

• For those who do not yet believe, that they may receive the light of the gospel, and for those whose faith has grown cold, let us pray to the Lord.
• For the sick and suffering, for the aged and infirm, for the lonely and neglected, and for all who remember and care for them, let us pray to the Lord.
• We thank God for our brothers and sisters who serve and worship in other Christian denominations. We ask God for new opportunities to work together ecumenically to help transform our local communities.
• For the poor and the hungry, for the homeless and the oppressed, for all prisoners and captives, and for our brothers and sisters who are persecuted for their faith, let us pray to the Lord.
• We pray for those who are grieving. We remember those who feel alone and pray for God's comfort and blessing. Pray that God will give us the compassion to comfort and care for those who are in need.
We pray for ourselves, for grace to repent and amend our lives, that we may be pardoned and absolved from all our sins, let us pray to the Lord.

Our Coventry Foodbank box is at the back of church. The contents will be taken each week to the Hope Centre in Hillfields to make sure that they have our contributions ready for distribution to families who will find feeding their children even more difficult than normal during the summer holidays. New Shopping Lists are available to help you remember what they need. We've been doing a good job. Let's make an extra special effort over the next few weeks. Thank you.

• the peace of the whole world, for the welfare of the Holy Church of God, and for the unity of all.
• all the other staff who work at The Bishop's House. We pray that they may encourage and support our Bishops as they seek to lead the Diocese.
• We thank God for all those who lead children's and youth work. We thank God for summer camps and ventures and pray that these times away would help leaders and young people grow in faith in Jesus Christ.
• The Global economies at this difficult time
• We remember our brothers and sisters and all those using our building
• We pray for God's blessing upon the church members and the local community.
• We pray for all who have the opportunity to find refreshment through a holiday. We pray for all those working in the hospitality and travel industries providing holidays for others. We remember those who are not able to take time away due to financial pressures or health problems.
• This is 'National Allotment Week'. We thank God for the huge variety of fruit and vegetables that grow in Britain, and we pray for everyone who cultivates them. We pray that we might never take our food for granted, and we pray for those around the world who are currently facing starvation.

We pray for the family and friends of Irene Haigh was body was laid to rest on Friday and whose soul is now surrounded by God's loving peace.
