Church Membership List (Electoral Roll). Each year we have to revise our membership list. If you attend the church regularly and would like to be included on this list, you will need to speak to Lorna.
Serving each other in church. It is great that we are able to depend on each other as so many people help out in so many different ways in church. Sometimes it isn't possible to make it when we are on a rota, but please do remember to try to arrange someone to cover if you aren't able to help in the way that was planned, and please do check your rota regularly.
Love your church The church is open every Saturday from 10am-12noon for cleaning, tidying, fixing, moving, sorting, trimming, planting, painting, bonding, helping, doing, watching, organising, teamworking, decorating and building. Please feel free to drop in and “love your church”.
Lent Prayer Course - we are running a five week course through Lent called Life Source on Tuesday 7.30pm. All are welcome. “At times prayer can seem like hard work or a bit of a mystery. At other times, it's an encounter with the Living God. Wherever you are on the journey of faith, Life Source will encourage a discovery of new-found joy and delight in prayer for novices and old hands alike.”
Coventry Winter Night Shelter.…please pray for this venture, for safety and strength for all involved in running it and for God to bless the guests who will be benefitting from it. Please pray that God’s love is made known, and also that the guests are able to make real progress in getting off the streets permanently. There are also likely to be other overheads so any monetary donations would be welcomed if that is how you feel called to respond. If you can possibly help, the more volunteers we have, the less often each person needs to volunteer. The actual weekly rota is done locally by Elke.
Please pray:
• For the peace of the whole world, for the welfare of the Holy Church of God, and for the unity of all.
• The Global economies at this difficult time
• For all those using our building
• For God's blessing upon the church members and the local community.
• This month we are invited to remember women affected by Ovarian Cancer, those who care for them, and those seeking to treat the disease. We pray for greater awareness of the disease and the often 'silent' symptoms so that many more women can be treated early and successfully.
• We thank God for the buildings and spaces he has entrusted to as places of worship. We pray for those people and parishes who are struggling to maintain their buildings. We ask God to help us steward these spaces well. We pray for the Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches
Pray for those in special need at this time and those recovering from illness:
Colin O’Shea; Les & Joyce Cave; J R Lindsey; Marlene; Florizel Anderson; Gill Wiles; Canon Andrew White; Emma Smith; Albert Hagan; Chris
Prayer for Today
Almighty God, by the prayer and discipline of Lent may we enter into the mystery of Christ’s sufferings, and by following in his Way may we come to share in his glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
