News Sheet 11th March 2012

Change of plan: We had planned to welcome the family and friends of Sam Jones today as he came for baptism, but unfortunately his sister is poorly in hospital so we have postponed it.

Join the ‘Pudding Club’ – Bring your favourite pudding (can be a bought one! No need to 'distress' it and pass it off as home-made)

Prayer meetings meet on Tuesday evenings, 730-9pm at the Vicarage.

Our Lent course this year, Mission-Shaped for Lent, continues on Thursdays 7.30-9pm at the Vicarage.

BBC Songs of Praise: Clive has details of an invitation to participate in Songs of Praise being recorded at the cathedral over Easter.

Cathedral Jubilee Service: Friday 25th May the Archbishop of Canterbury and "a senior member of the Royal Family" will be at a special celebration service. Places are extremely limited (we will get 3 tickets in total) so please let Clive know if you would be interested so we can work out a fair way to allocate them.

Maundy Thursday Agape Meal
A 'bring-and-share' meal for all the family when we remember The Last Supper. Please sign up so we know who is coming and what you are bringing. Thursday 5th April at 6pm-8pm.

Church Membership List (Electoral Roll). Each year we have to revise our membership list. If you attend the church regularly and would like to be included on this list, you will need to speak to Anna Evans or one of the wardens.

Our Annual General Meeting will take place on Sunday 1st April after Worship. You are welcome and indeed encouraged to stay and reflect on the life of this church over the last year, as well as elect Wardens and Church Representatives to help in the mission and ministry of St Anne & All Saints. Nomination sheets are in the Lower Hall. Please check with the person that you would like to nominate that they are willing to stand on the Church Council.

Please pray for
• Peace in the world
• The Global economies at this difficult time
• Syria, that peace will prevail and solutions will be found to enable all to live in harmony.
• For Japan on the anniversary of the Tsunami
• Give thanks for God's presence throughout the season of Lent. Pray
for a good response and the bearing of much fruit from Lent courses used by various groups. Pray that our focus may be on spiritual discipline
• For all those using our building
• The Elliot family whose daughter Imogen is poorly
