• We pray for God's journeying mercies for all those who will travel Christmas Eve to be with family and friends. We pray for the people preparing food in homeless shelters and hostels around the country. May their efforts to feed and clothe people on Christmas Eve and give shelter bring God's blessing to many during this season.
Christmas Day
Joy to the World, the Lord is come! As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we pray that many would hear and know the Lord Jesus for themselves this Christmas. Lord Jesus Christ, your birth at Bethlehem draws us to kneel in wonder at heaven touching earth: accept our heartfelt praise as we worship you, our Saviour and our eternal God. Amen.
Pray for those in special need at this time and those recovering from illness:
Tracey Griffiths; Phil Smith; Susan McMillan; Colin O’Shea; Steve Brooker; Simon Helberg; Emma Smith; Fred Wiles; Veronica Martin; J R Lindsey; Lez Cave; Lynette
Prayer for Today
Eternal God, as Mary waited for the birth of your Son, so we wait for his coming in glory; bring us through the birth pangs of this present age to see, with her, our great salvation in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
