Serving each other in church. It is great that we are able to depend on each other as so many people help out in so many different ways in church. Sometimes it isn't possible to make it when we are on a rota, but please do remember to try to arrange someone to cover if you aren't able to help in the way that was planned, and please do check your rota regularly.
Coventry Food Bank most needed products are coffee, tins of fruit, nappies and baked beans please. They have plenty of pasta and cereals at the moment.
Charity Collections - Please remember to bring & put in drawers at rear of church:
• used stamps for the Leprosy Mission.
• ring pulls from cans for the Philippine Community Fund.
• The Coventry Foodbank contents are taken each week to the Hope Centre in Hillfields. New Shopping Lists are available to help you
• Coins to put in our I Hate Coppers bottle as we support Canon Andrew White and the Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East at St.George's Church, Baghdad, Iraq.
• Individual collection boxes for The Children’s Society. Please see Janice
Please pray:
• For the peace of the whole world, for the welfare of the Holy Church of God, and for the unity of all.
• For all those using our building
• For God's blessing upon the church members and the local community.
• For blessing and protection for Clive, Ali and all the family.
• We thank God for HM The Queen and pray for the special celebrations this month of her being the longest reigning British monarch. We pray for Bishop John as he travels to Buffalo for the annual meeting of the International Commission for Anglican-Orthodox Theological Dialogue.
• Monday marks the International Day of Peace - an annual event designed to bring peace to every individual across the globe. It is also designed to be a day of ceasefire. We pray for God's help in our own lives to cease fighting, stop arguing and make peace with others. We pray for God's dynamic intervention of peace into the most troubled places of conflict.
• We pray for the ministry and mission of the Cathedral: for new connections with university students as they arrive in Coventry; for the new interns as they begin their life and work in the Cathedral community; for 'News & Booze' young adults group.
Pray for those in special need at this time and those recovering from illness:
Colin O’Shea; J R Lindsey; Kaine Veal; Angela Justice; Emma Smith; Chris Edmunds; Brian Groves; Ross Spriggs; Jackie Adams
Prayer for Today
Lord of creation, whose glory is around and within us: open our eyes to your wonders, that we may serve you with reverence and know your peace at our lives’ end, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
