Flowers – If you are on the Rota to donate flowers, thank-you.  However, can you please ensure that you give Jean or Stella the money the week before for the flowers.

Alpha Course - We’ll be running this 10 week course again starting September 11th. There are three ways to get involved with this informal introduction to Christianity;
             1. Help with organising or catering
             2. Come along to all or part of it
             3. Invite a friend to come along.

Life Groups. We meet in small groups at various times through the week to help us to grow and to learn about God. Please speak to Clive to find out more or to explore which group might best suit you. The Wednesday Group will be meeting at 1.30pm at the Vicarage this week.  Please let Sandra B know if you would like to have a lift there.

Cathedral Praise - Coventry Cathedral are keen to develop a partnership with us as a neighbouring church. We are all invited to join with them every Sunday evening at 6.30pm starting 1st September for Cathedral Praise. This is especially useful if you were busy serving during the morning service here.

Please pray for:
• The peace of the whole world, for the welfare of the Holy Church of God, and for the unity of all.
• For those who do not yet believe, that they may receive the light of the gospel, and for those whose faith has grown cold, let us pray to the Lord.
• For the sick and suffering, for the aged and infirm, for the lonely and neglected, and for all who remember and care for them, let us pray to the Lord.
• We thank God for our brothers and sisters who serve and worship in other Christian denominations. We ask God for new opportunities to work together ecumenically to help transform our local communities.
• For the poor and the hungry, for the homeless and the oppressed, for all prisoners and captives, and for our brothers and sisters who are persecuted for their faith, let us pray to the Lord.
• We pray for those who are grieving. We remember those who feel alone and pray for God's comfort and blessing. Pray that God will give us the compassion to comfort and care for those who are in need.
We pray for ourselves, for grace to repent and amend our lives, that we may be pardoned and absolved from all our sins, let us pray to the Lord.
• The Global economies at this difficult time
• For all those using our building
• We pray for God's blessing upon the church members and the local community.
• We pray for all who have the opportunity to find refreshment through a holiday. We pray for all those working in the hospitality and travel industries providing holidays for others. We remember those who are not able to take time away due to financial pressures or heath problems.
• St Alban’s during their interregnum

Pray for those in special need at this time and those recovering from illness:
Tracey Griffiths; Phil Smith; Susan McMillan; Colin O’Shea; Steve Brooker; Simon Helberg; Joe Lindsay

Prayer for Today
God of constant mercy, who sent your Son to save us: remind us of your goodness, increase your grace within us, that our thankfulness may grow, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
