Flowers – if you are on the Rota to donate flowers, thank-you. However can you please ensure that you give Jean or Stella the money the week before for the flowers.
Our Coventry Foodbank box is at the back of church. The contents will be taken each week to the Hope Centre in Hillfields to make sure that they have our contributions ready for distribution to families who will find feeding their children even more difficult than normal during the summer holidays. New Shopping Lists are available to help you remember what they need. We've been doing a good job. Let's make an extra special effort over the next few weeks. Thank you.
Alpha Course: We’ll be running this 10 week course again starting in September. There are three ways to get involved with this informal introduction to Christianity;
1. Help with organising or catering
2. Come along to all or part of it
3. Invite a friend to come along
Sunday Clubs - If you are interested in Leading or assisting, please see Carolyn.
Life Groups: We meet in small groups at various times through the week to help us to grow and to learn about God. Please speak to Clive to find out more or to explore which group might best suit you.
Cathedral Praise: The next Cathedral Praise will be on Sunday 1st September. Coventry Cathedral are keen to develop a partnership with us as a neighbouring church. We are all invited to join with them on Sunday evenings at 6.30pm when the services resume. This is especially useful if you were busy serving during the morning service here.

Please pray for:
• the peace of the whole world, for the welfare of the Holy Church of God, and for the unity of all.
• all the other staff who work at The Bishop's House. We pray that they may encourage and support our Bishops as they seek to lead the Diocese.
• We thank God for all those who lead children's and youth work. We thank God for summer camps and ventures and pray that these times away would help leaders and young people grow in faith in Jesus Christ.
• The Global economies at this difficult time
• We remember our brothers and sisters and all those using our building
• We pray for God's blessing upon the church members and the local community.
• We pray for all who have the opportunity to find refreshment through a holiday. We pray for all those working in the hospitality and travel industries providing holidays for others. We remember those who are not able to take time away due to financial pressures or health problems.
• This is 'National Allotment Week'. We thank God for the huge variety of fruit and vegetables that grow in Britain, and we pray for everyone who cultivates them. We pray that we might never take our food for granted, and we pray for those around the world who are currently facing starvation.
• St Alban’s during their interregnum
Pray for those in special need at this time and those recovering from illness:
Tracey Griffiths; Phil Smith; Susan McMillan, Steve Brooker, Simon Helberg
We pray for the family and friends of Irene Haigh was body was laid to rest on Friday and whose soul is now surrounded by God's loving peace.
Prayer for Today
Lord of heaven and earth, as Jesus taught his disciples to be persistent in prayer, give us patience and courage never to lose hope, but always to bring our prayers before you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
