Let us rejoice! Let us give thanks! Christ is risen!
May that truth fire us with new hope,

• Easter Day - He has risen - Jesus is alive! We pray for Easter celebrations in all parishes and communities this morning. We pray for those who will gather with Bishop Christopher at the cathedral for the dawn Eucharist and confirmation service. We pray for Bishop John as he preaches at a service to be broadcast live on Radio 4 from the Guild Chapel in Stratford.
• Monday - We thank God for the provision of bank holidays and for the break they offer to many people from the normal patterns of work and life. We pray for those who will work through this bank holiday and ask God to provide another time of rest for them during the coming week
• Thank God for the life he is bringing. Please pray that those who have made commitments to Christ will become true disciples and that those who are searching will find God. We pray that the Holy Spirit will build each of us up in his power to live for him each day.

Pray for those in special need at this time and those recovering from illness:
Phil Smith; Colin O’Shea; Steve Brooker; Fred Wiles; J R Lindsey; Pam Howes; Molly Harling

God of Glory, by the raising of your Son you have broken the chains of death and hell: fill your Church with faith and hope; for a new day has dawned and the way to life stands open in our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
