Today the Wednesday Life Group invite you to
Welcome Sunday

Please help us support these charities by collecting:

Milk bottle tops for Myton Hospice
and bring them to church with you.
Please let Clive know if there are any other charities
you would like us to support with collections

"The long school holidays mean that thousands of children will miss meals and go hungry, because their parents cannot afford to feed them. More than two thirds of families classed as living in food poverty rely on free food given out in schools - through free school lunches, or breakfast and after-school clubs - to feed their children. Without it, families said that they would not be able to provide enough food for their children through the summer holiday. One in five parents in the UK are struggling to feed their children,"  These are the findings of research carried out by the Trussell Trust, Tesco and the food-distribution charity, FareShare.

How can we help?
Our Coventry Foodbank box is at the back of church. The contents will be taken each week to the Hope Centre in Hillfields to make sure that they have our contributions ready for distribution to families who will find feeding their children even more difficult than normal during the summer holidays. New Shopping Lists are available to help you remember what they need. We've been doing a good job. Let's make an extra special effort over the next few weeks.

Thank you.

Alpha Course: We’ll be running this 10 week course again starting in September. There are three ways to get involved with this informal introduction to Christianity;
1. Help with organising or catering
2. Come along to all or part of it
3. Invite a friend to come along

Sunday Clubs - If you are interested in Leading or assisting, please see Carolyn.

Congratulations to Ros:  Having finished her studies, Ros has got a job at St Mark’s church in Leamington heading up their Child and Family Team. We will be celebrating her success and saying farewell on Friday 19th July 7pm at the Vicarage. Please bring food and drink to share.

Life Groups: We meet in small groups at various times through the week to help us to grow and to learn about God. Please speak to Clive to find out more or to explore which group might best suit you.

Cathedral Praise: Coventry Cathedral are keen to develop a partnership with us as a neighbouring church. We are all invited to join with them every Sunday evening at 6.30pm for Cathedral Praise. This is especially useful if you were busy serving during the morning service here.

Please pray for:

• The peace of the whole world, for the welfare of the Holy Church of God, and for the unity of all.

• As schools break up for the summer holiday, we pray for all families with school-age children. We thank God for the rest and fun that many children will enjoy this summer, but we pray for families where the extended holiday can bring extra tension and conflict. Pray for families known to you.

• Saturday marks the start of Love Parks Week. For those who live in towns and cities, it is the perfect time to visit local green spaces and remember what it's like to breathe outside of a city-fuelled environment! Thank God for the parks throughout Coventry and Warwickshire.

• The Global economies at this difficult time

• For all those using our building

• We pray for God's blessing upon the church members and the local community.

• St Alban’s during their interregnum

Pray for those in special need at this time and those recovering from illness:
Tracey Griffiths; Phil Smith; Bishop Christopher; Steve Brooker; Simon Hellberg; Colin O’Shea; George Adamantos; Ina Anstee; Susan McMillan

Prayer for Today
Lord God, your Son left the riches of heaven and became poor for our sake: when we prosper save us from pride, when we are needy save us from despair, that we may trust in you alone; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
